Modified uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)
Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for resectable lung cancer patients has been frequently used in the past decades. The potential beneficial advantages and safety of VATS has been shown in large patient series and meta-analyses. The strategy of

Rab1A Promotes Hepatic Steatosis by Suppressing Mitophagy via the Raf‐1/ERK1/2/PINK1 Signaling Axis
Why does fat accumulate in the liver? Our study reveals Rab1A as the molecular switch that silences the cell's mitochondrial cleanup crew. Turning Rab1A off reactivates mitophagy, clears excess fat, and reverses fatty liver disease in mice—offering a promising new therapeutic target for MASLD, a growing global health challenge.

ABSTRACT The LRRK2 G2019S mutation, a Parkinson's disease–linked variant, has been associated with depression‐like phenotypes, but mechanisms remain unclear. We chart age‐dependent behavioral changes and astrocyte reactivity in G2019S mice and define a pathway connecting LRRK2 to TFEB/GDNF signaling, cellular energetics, and inflammation.

Longitudinal Morphomolecular Monitoring of Head and Neck Carcinogenesis
A miniaturized endoscopic probe that integrates Raman spectroscopy and optical coherence tomography, enabling simultaneous molecular and structural imaging of living tissue, was developed. Applied longitudinally in a mouse model of head and neck cancer, the system tracks disease progression from precancerous lesions to invasive cancer.

The present study shows that Nrf2 directly binds to the Gm26550 promoter, thereby activating Gm26550 transcription and increasing its expression. Mechanistically, Gm26550 promotes IGF1 expression by functionally antagonizing miR‐26a‐5p‐mediated repression and sequestering the RBP KHSRP, thereby enhancing hippocampal neuronal synaptic plasticity and ...

The Mind From Within: Visceral Roots of Human Cognition
The physiological activity of visceral organs, such as the heart, the lungs, and the gut, is surprisingly linked to many sophisticated mental operations, such as remembering the past, being aware of ourselves, making choices, and forging social bonds.

Video-assisted Thoracic Surgery Lobectomy
Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) has been established as the surgical approach of choice for lobectomy in patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Patients with clinical stage I NSCLC with no lymph node metastasis are considered candidates for VATS lobectomy.

Video-assisted thoracic surgery lobectomy for pulmonary sequestration
Pulmonary sequestration is a rare developmental abnormality, and the patients usually present with recurrent pneumonia. We report a case of video-assisted thoracic surgery lobectomy in a 32-year-old woman with an intrapulmonary sequestration in the left ...
