This article introduces a computer vision‐assisted control strategy for light‐driven liquid crystal elastomer actuators. Through negative feedback regulation, the liquid crystal elastomer actuator exhibits accurate and stable bending deformation in complex environments.

This study introduces a hydraulically steerable catheter with a soft tip in vascular procedures. The steering soft tip achieves a minimal diameter of 2.6 mm and supports a 180° bend. Real‐time shape and position tracking, facilitated by segmentation and endpoint detection techniques, improves navigation.

This study presents an architected structure, based on patterned straight‐line mechanisms, that enables simultaneous bending, extending, and torsionally rigid (BETR) transmission.
