Advocating for Precision Neoadjuvant and Subsequent Adjuvant Therapies in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Evidence From a Real‐World Multicenter Study

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2026.
Optimal treatment rule (OTR) decision trees for selecting neoadjuvant therapies based on overall survival, using core subgroup variables as predictors. The three values in each box represent, from left to right, the probability of benefit from neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCT), neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy (NCIT), and neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT)

A Case of Primary Pulmonary Meningioma With Slow Enlargement Over a 9‐Year Period

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Primary pulmonary meningioma (PPM) is an extremely rare benign tumour that often remains asymptomatic. Although most cases are incidentally detected as solitary pulmonary nodules on chest imaging, reports on their long‐term clinical courses remain limited. Herein, we report a case of PPM with slow growth over a nine‐year period.

A single centre multidisciplinary team retrospective review of fifty cases of robot‐assisted surgery for diaphragmatic and thoracic endometriosis

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 8, Page 1614-1622, August 2026.
Robot‐assisted multidisciplinary surgery enables safe, efficient, and comprehensive treatment of diaphragmatic and thoracic endometriosis. Evaluation of DTE in specialized centers, in a multidisciplinary fashion, allows for patient‐centered operative planning and could avoid missed disease or incomplete management.

Mitoquinone Prevents Cardiac Dysfunction by Normalizing Mitochondrial ROS and Calcium Handling in Acute Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 242, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Acute myocardial infarction (MI) is the leading cause of heart failure (HF). However, the role of mitochondrial ROS (ROSm) in early MI dysfunction remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of MitoQ on cardiac function in cases of heart HF following MI.
