A video watermarking algorithm for MPEG videos
Proceedings of the 1st Amrita ACM-W Celebration on Women in Computing in India, 2010An efficient and robust video watermarking algorithm for video coding standard MPEG has been proposed in this paper. Digital video watermarking has attracted a great deal of research interest in the past few years in applications such as digital fingerprinting and owner identification.

ACM SIGCHI Bulletin, 1989
We use video to support design. By design, we (the Design and Media Spaces Area at Xerox PARC) mean the creation of the new, whether it is architecture, painting, or engineering. We believe that design is a social activity---the interactions of individuals within a group and the relation of groups to one another.

Video quality monitoring of streamed videos
2009 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2009This paper describes a video quality analysis system for inservice monitoring of streamed videos, particularly over mobile/wireless networks. The algorithm adopts the no-reference method, and enables real-time measurement of video quality at any point in the content production and delivery chain using any given video. The technologies developed include

Video Segmentation of Life-Logging Videos
2014Life-logging devices are characterized by easily collecting huge amount of images. One of the challenges of lifelogging is how to organize the big amount of image data acquired in semantically meaningful segments. In this paper, we propose an energy-based approach for motion-based event segmentation of life-logging sequences of low temporal resolution.

Inter-video Similarity for Video Parsing
2008In this paper we present a method for automatic detection of visual patterns in a given news video format by investigating similarities in a set of videos of that format. The approach aims at reducing the manual effort needed to create models of news broadcast formats for automatic video indexing and retrieval.

Video annotation: Computers watching video
1996Recently our research has focused on tools for video annotation — the generation of symbolic descriptions of dynamic scenes. In this paper I describe two specific examples of developing capabilities necessary for the understanding of action in video sequences.
