A fast compression-based similarity measure with applications to content-based image retrieval [PDF]
Compression-based similarity measures are effectively employed in applications on diverse data types with a basically parameter-free approach. Nevertheless, there are problems in applying these techniques to medium-to-large datasets which have been ...

A Synthetic Video Dataset for Video Compression Evaluation [PDF]
In this paper, a new Synthetic video Texture dataset (SynTex) is introduced. It was generated using a Computer Graphics Imagery (CGI) environment and offers the capability of being able to generate many versions of the same scenes with different video parameters.

A bikitaite‐infused cellulose separator is introduced for Li metal batteries, leveraging bikitaite zeolite's ion‐conductive properties to regulate Li+‐ion flux and suppress dendrite growth. The membrane design ensures uniform Li plating, enhanced electrolyte wettability, and robust thermal/mechanical stability, delivering stable performance and low ...

InSb, a narrow‐bandgap semiconductor with high carrier mobility, is promising for thermoelectric energy conversion but suffers from high lattice thermal conductivity and strong bipolar conduction. Here, in situ interface engineering using Co2O3 nanoprecursors forms hierarchical CoSbx/In2O3/CoSb3 heterostructures that enhance phonon scattering and ...

This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Multiple description video coding based on zero padding [PDF]
This paper proposes a simple multiple description video coding approach based on zero padding theory. It is completely based on pre- and post-processing, which require no modifications to the source codec.
