Autoregressive video conference models

International Journal of Network Management, 2004
AbstractVideo conferencing is an important application that has been extensively used in IP, ATM networks, and TV broadcasting as a means of interactive communications. Teleconferencing video traffic consists of video scenes in which one or more people are talking with low to medium motion and almost unchanged background.

Automatic generation of conference video proceedings

Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation, 2004
How many times did you miss a conference talk in a parallel track and wish you had a second chance to see it? Or you just wanted to see a few talks from a recent conference you did not attend? Video proceedings, which contain videos of all the conference talks, would be of great value in these cases.

Implementation of Multipoint Video Conference in Software

APCCAS 2006 - 2006 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2006
This paper proposed a solution of pure software multipoint video conference system, which realized on visual c++ developer flat In the process of system development, some methods used to solve the key problems of the system are put forward, such as multithreading technology, multi-user connection, video capture and transmission, wave input and output ...

A Fast Video Mixing Method for Multiparty Video Conference

2005
In this paper, we propose a fast video mixing method for reducing the computational complexity in the MCU (Multipoint Control Unit) used in the video conferencing. The conventional mixing method is based on the pixel-domain transcoder, of which computational complexity is linearly increased as the number of participants is increased.

Comparison of video conference realization schemes

Proceedings of ICC'97 - International Conference on Communications, 2002
In this paper, we investigate the issue of how multiparty-to-multiparty communication should be realized. In order to quantify the different techniques, we examine the network-layer (bandwidth and buffer) allocations of four models for realizing multiparty-to-multiparty communication.

Distance Learning by Video Conference System

2002
Learning through the experimental experience is a helpful way for students to master the science subject. However, it is difficult to do experiments in electrical learning as the high voltage and large electric current are dangerous. This paper presents a new teaching style of science experiments through a video conference system via an ISDN line ...

The Video Conference Tool Robot ViCToR

2015
We present a robotic tool that autonomously follows a conversation to enable remote presence in video conferencing. When humans participate in a meeting with the help of video conferencing tools, it is crucial that they are able to follow the conversation both with acoustic and visual input.

Enhancing Facial Impression for Video Conference

2015
Most people have their preferred impression to be seen by others. Our face warping method can make this real. In this paper, we propose a new technique for automatic transformation of facial impression, for example, look more attractive or baby-face from the original.

Implementation of stable video conference system

2013 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE), 2013
In this paper, we propose an algorithm of remote video conference using silence detection algorithm to resolve the questions such as buffering method of video data in server and heavy traffic detection algorithm to the increase in participants. We apply a voice transmission algorithm and a channel management algorithm to the remote video conference ...
