From Droplet to Diagnosis: Spatio‐Temporal Pattern Recognition in Drying Biofluids

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article integrates machine learning (ML) with the spatio‐temporal evolution of biofluid droplets to reveal how drying and self‐assembly encode distinctive compositional fingerprints. By leveraging textural features and interpretable ML, it achieves robust classification of blood abnormalities with over 95% accuracy.

Safety and Feasibility of Extended Platelet-Rich Fibrin as a Solo Barrier Membrane for Ridge Preservation: A Case Series. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Exp Dent Res
ABSTRACT Introduction Platelet‐rich fibrin (PRF) has been commonly utilized for ridge preservation techniques either to introduce supraphysiological concentrations of autologous growth factors to the defect area (typically when mixed within a bone graft) or utilized alone as a solo “barrier” membrane.

‘The System Can't Cope’: The Service System Response to Alcohol and Other Drug‐Facilitated Sexual Violence

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Alcohol and other drug‐facilitated sexual violence can have significant impacts on victim‐survivors, yet little is known about what support service providers offer them. To understand the experiences and perceptions of service providers, interviews with counsellors, health workers, forensic toxicologists and harm reduction workers were ...

Body donor programs in Australia and New Zealand: Current status and future opportunities

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, Volume 18, Issue 3, Page 301-328, March 2025.
Abstract Body donation is critical to anatomy study in Australia and New Zealand. Annually, more than 10,000 students, anatomists, researchers, and clinicians access tissue donated by local consented donors through university‐based body donation programs. However, little research has been published about their operations.

Image Splicing Localization Using A Multi-Task Fully Convolutional Network (MFCN)

open access: yes, 2017
In this work, we propose a technique that utilizes a fully convolutional network (FCN) to localize image splicing attacks. We first evaluated a single-task FCN (SFCN) trained only on the surface label.

Stranger Rape or Impromptu Consensual Sex? Investigating Mock Juror Decision‐Making in a Genuine Contested Rape Trial

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences &the Law, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to better understand juror decision‐making in a less typical rape trial scenario where even prior acquaintance is disputed. Adopting an improved mock trial paradigm including a video‐recorded recreation of a genuine rape allegation and jury‐group deliberation, 156 jury‐eligible participants took part in 1 of 13 ...
