Detection Continuity Loss for Video Object Detection

2021 IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Communications and Computing (ICSPCC), 2021
The video object detection is one of the key challenges in the field of object detection. The detection accuracy and real-time performance must be considered, and requirement for detection continuity is also put forward. This article proposes a detection continuity loss (DCL) to solve the problem of poor detection continuity in the video object ...

Ranking Video Salient Object Detection

Proceedings of the 27th ACM International Conference on Multimedia, 2019
Video salient object detection has been attracting more and more research interests recently. However, the definition of salient objects in videos has been controversial all the time, which has become a critical bottleneck in video salient object detection. Specifically, the sequential information contained in videos results in a fact that objects have

Robust object detection on video surveillance

2011 Eighth International Joint Conference on Computer Science and Software Engineering (JCSSE), 2011
The process of the alternative functioning of the surveillance system has been discussed in this paper along with software implementation at a low cost. A frame subtraction technique has been applied, which projects a moving object in consideration to be in current view, while subtraction of the current and the previous frame image reaches a certain ...

Moving Object Detection and Tracking in Videos

2013
This chapter provides four sections. The first section introduces the moving object D&T infrastructure and basis of some methods for object detection and tracking (D&T) in videos. In object D&T applications, there is manual or automatic D&T process. Also, the image features, such as color, shape, texture, contours, and motion can be used to track the ...

Video Object Detection via Object-Level Temporal Aggregation

2020
While single-image object detectors can be naively applied to videos in a frame-by-frame fashion, the prediction is often temporally inconsistent. Moreover, the computation can be redundant since neighboring frames are inherently similar to each other. In this work we propose to improve video object detection via temporal aggregation.
