Binaural recording methods with analysis on inter-aural time, level, and phase differences [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Binaural recordings are a form of stereophonic recording method that replicates how human ears perceive sound, these types of recordings create a 3D aural image around the listener and are extremely immersive when well recorded and listened to appropriately with headphones.

On subcellular distribution of the zinc finger 469 protein (ZNF469) and observed discrepancy in the localization of endogenous and overexpressed ZNF469

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZNF469 regulates the expression of genes encoding extracellular matrix proteins. Endogenous ZNF469 is predominantly cytoplasmic, while in transfected cells, it forms aggregates reminiscent of biomolecular condensates, located mainly in the nucleus. These condensates exhibit overlapping staining with proteasomes and are also associated with the mitotic ...

Single-shot real-time video recording of a photonic Mach cone induced by a scattered light pulse

open access: yesScience Advances, 2017
Lossless-encoding compressed ultrafast photography captures a movie of a photonic Mach cone at 100 billion frames per second. Ultrafast video recording of spatiotemporal light distribution in a scattering medium has a significant impact in biomedicine ...

Knockout of the mitoribosome rescue factors Ict1 or Mtrfr is viable in zebrafish but not mice: compensatory mechanisms underlying each factor's loss

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mitochondria contain two mitoribosome rescue factors, ICT1 and MTRFR (C12orf65). ICT1 also functions as a mitoribosomal protein in mice and humans, and its loss is lethal. Although Mtrfr knockout mice could not be generated, knockout zebrafish lines for ict1 and mtrfr were established.

Predicting Video features from EEG and Vice versa [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In this paper we explore predicting facial or lip video features from electroencephalography (EEG) features and predicting EEG features from recorded facial or lip video frames using deep learning models. The subjects were asked to read out loud English sentences shown to them on a computer screen and their simultaneous EEG signals and facial video ...

Feasibility Study on Intra-Grid Location Estimation Using Power ENF Signals [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
The Electric Network Frequency (ENF) is a signature of power distribution networks that can be captured by multimedia recordings made in areas where there is electrical activity. This has led to an emergence of several forensic applications based on the use of the ENF signature.
