Video Super-Resolution With Convolutional Neural Networks

IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging, 2016
Convolutional neural networks (CNN) are a special type of deep neural networks (DNN). They have so far been successfully applied to image super-resolution (SR) as well as other image restoration tasks. In this paper, we consider the problem of video super-resolution.

Bayesian Multispectral Videos Super Resolution

2023 11th European Workshop on Visual Information Processing (EUVIP), 2023
Due to hardware limitations, multispectral videos often exhibit significantly lower resolution compared to standard color videos. These videos capture images in multiple bands of the electromagnetic spectrum, providing valuable additional information that is not available in traditional RGB images.

Noisy video super-resolution

Proceedings of the 16th ACM international conference on Multimedia, 2008
Low-quality videos often not only have limited resolution, but also suffer from noise. Directly up-sampling a video without considering noise could deteriorate its visual quality due to magnifying noise. This paper addresses this problem with a unified framework that achieves simultaneous de-noising and super-resolution. This framework formulates noisy

A robust video super-resolution algorithm

28th Picture Coding Symposium, 2010
In this paper, we propose a robust video super-resolution reconstruction method based on spatial-temporal orientation-adaptive kernel regression. First, we propose a robust registration efficiency model to reflect the temporal information reliability.

A robust super resolution method for video

2012 Conference Record of the Forty Sixth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers (ASILOMAR), 2012
Super resolution reconstruction produces a higher resolution image based on a set of low resolution images, taken from the same scene. Recently, many papers have been published, proposing a variety algorithms of video super resolution. This paper presents a new approach to video super resolution, based on sparse coding and belief propagation.

Simultaneous super-resolution for video sequences

IEEE International Conference on Image Processing 2005, 2005
In this work, we propose a new super-resolution algorithm to simultaneously estimate all frames of a video sequence. The new algorithm is based on the Bayesian maximum a posteriori estimation. In contrast to other multi-frame super-resolution algorithms, the proposed algorithm does not include the motion in the observation model.

Robust super resolution of compressed video

The Visual Computer, 2012
This paper presents a robust algorithm to recover high-frequency information from compressed low-resolution (LR) video sequences. Previous super-resolution (SR) approaches have succeeded in resolution enhancement when the motion in the LR sequence is simple. However, when the motion is complex, new artifacts will be introduced in the SR processing.

Robust Web Image/Video Super-Resolution

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2010
This paper proposes a robust single-image super-resolution method for enlarging low quality web image/video degraded by downsampling and compression. To simultaneously improve the resolution and perceptual quality of such web image/video, we bring forward a practical solution which combines adaptive regularization and learning-based super-resolution ...

Compression-Oriented Video Super-Resolution

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing
Current compressed video super-resolution methods have achieved promising performance, but they often assume that an input video is compressed under low-delay configurations. However, under random access configurations, those methods might struggle to leverage the metadata effectively due to the large variations of metadata in different compression ...

Video Super Resolution: A Review

2020
This paper gives detailed review of techniques for super resolution (SR) which is growing research area of image processing. Super resolution is nothing but upgrading resolution of image or video using number of low resolution images or frames. Spatial and temporal enhancements where SR concept is preliminary applied. Different techniques related to SR
