Boosted Tracking in Video

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2010
We discuss how a probabilistic interpretation of the output provided by a cascade of boosted classifiers can be exploited for Bayesian tracking in video streams. In particular, real-time face and body detection can be achieved by relying on such a Bayesian framework.

Video-Game and Conventional Tracking

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1981
The performance evaluarion tests for environmental research (PETER) program is a series of studies involving extended practice on a variety of task. One of these tasks is a compensatory tracking task which requlres the subject to keep a moving circle centered in a horizontal track by making approptlate left-right manipulations of a control stick ( 1 ) .

Bayesian Tracking for Video Analytics

IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, 2010
Visual tracking represents the basic processing step for most video analytics applications where the aim is to automatically understand the actions occurring in a monitored scene. Consequently, the performances of these applications are significantly dependent on the accuracy and robustness of the tracking algorithm.

Fast Tracking for Video Target Tracking

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Fast video tracking can result in irregular sampling tracking problem. This paper transforms the irregular sampling measurement to the time-varying parameters and develops a model with adaptive parameters on line by the autocorrelation function of Markov random processing.

Tracking nonparameterized object contours in video

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2002
We propose a new method for contour tracking in video. The inverted distance transform of the edge map is used as an edge indicator function for contour detection. Using the concept of topographical distance, the watershed segmentation can be formulated as a minimization.

Adaboost Video Tracking

2008
A new approach of tracking objects in image sequences is proposed, in which tracking is seen as a binary classification problem. For each incoming image frame, a likelihood image for the object is created according to the classification results of pixels by a Adaboost feature classifier.
