Face Detection with Viola Jones Algorithm

2020 7th International Conference on Information Science and Control Engineering (ICISCE), 2020
This article aims to present a face detection system for one or more people moving through a video. To achieve this, we use Viola Jones algorithm and a diagram of a face detection algorithm using Boosting algorithm was prepared. Learning the Boosting algorithm is necessary to build a strong classifier from a set of weak classifiers.

Facial parts detection using Viola Jones algorithm

2017 4th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems (ICACCS), 2017
This paper presents to detect the faces in an image and locates the facial features in an image. The detection of the facial parts such as eyes, nose, mouth and face is an important task in this process. This system is used to recognize and detect the parts of the human facial factors in an image. The study involves the algorithm of Viola-Jones Cascade

A Viola-Jones based hybrid face detection framework

SPIE Proceedings, 2014
Improvements in face detection performance would benefit many applications. The OpenCV library implements a standard solution, the Viola-Jones detector, with a statistically boosted rejection cascade of binary classifiers. Empirical evidence has shown that Viola-Jones underdetects in some instances.

Driver Drowsiness Detection Using Viola Jones Algorithm

2019
Monitoring a driver to detect his distraction is a complex problem that involves physiological and behavioral elements. In order to solve this problem a constant detection system for monitoring driver’s eye movement is to be monitored. Initially, driver’s face is first located in the input video sequence which is then tracked over the subsequent eye ...

The Viola-Jones Face Detection Algorithm Analysis: A Survey

Journal of Cybersecurity and Information Management, 2021
In this paper, we analysis the Viola-Jones algorithm, the most real-time face detection system has been used. It is consisting from three main concepts to enable a robust detection: the integral image for Haar feature computation, Adaboost for selecting feature and cascade to make resource allocation more efficient.

B The Viola-Jones Classifier

2006
Here, we present the details of the classification method of Viola & Jones that was introduced in chapter 7. The classifier was also described in our publications [Frintrop et al., 2004b] and [Mitri et al., 2005]. Further details can be found in the original papers [Lienhart and Maydt, 2002,Viola and Jones, 2004].

Evolutionary Feature Preselection for Viola-Jones Classifier Training

2012 Spring Congress on Engineering and Technology, 2012
Object detection and recognition still pose a major challenge for computer vision systems. The Viola-Jones framework is a popular means of building classifiers that can perform these tasks effectively and efficiently. Viola-Jones draws upon a set of simple, Haar-like image features at all scales and positions. As this set grows rapidly with image size,

Accelerating Viola-Jones Facce Detection Algorithm on GPUs

2012 IEEE 14th International Conference on High Performance Computing and Communication & 2012 IEEE 9th International Conference on Embedded Software and Systems, 2012
The Viola-Jones face detection algorithm represents a class of parallel algorithms that both memory accesses and work distributions are irregular, thereby hard to obtain high performance on GPUs. Furthermore, conventional GPU programming wisdom usually guides us on how to optimize data parallel workloads with regular inputs and outputs.
