Accelerating Viola-Jones Facce Detection Algorithm on GPUs
2012 IEEE 14th International Conference on High Performance Computing and Communication & 2012 IEEE 9th International Conference on Embedded Software and Systems, 2012The Viola-Jones face detection algorithm represents a class of parallel algorithms that both memory accesses and work distributions are irregular, thereby hard to obtain high performance on GPUs. Furthermore, conventional GPU programming wisdom usually guides us on how to optimize data parallel workloads with regular inputs and outputs.

Driver Drowsiness Detection Using Viola Jones Algorithm
2019Monitoring a driver to detect his distraction is a complex problem that involves physiological and behavioral elements. In order to solve this problem a constant detection system for monitoring driver’s eye movement is to be monitored. Initially, driver’s face is first located in the input video sequence which is then tracked over the subsequent eye ...

Selection of Viola–Jones algorithm parameters for specific conditions
Bulletin of the Lebedev Physics Institute, 2015In this paper, we consider the face search in images by the Viola-Jones method. The method operation is controlled by a number of parameters affecting the balance between the numbers of false operations and missed faces, as well as the method speed. Selection of parameters for practical problems is rather laborious, since an optimal choice requires ...

Application Of The Viola Jones Algorithm On Face Detection
International Journal of Health Engineering and Technology, 2022The face is the central organ for human expression, recognition, and communication. The face consists of four very important sense organs, namely the nose, eyes, ears, and tongue. The human brain has the privilege of recognizing someone based on their face.

Stampede Monitoring and Alarm System using Viola-jones algorithm
2018 3rd IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT), 2018Now a day, people are facing many problems relating to the crowd control, security issues, medical emergencies, detecting and tracking of the pilgrims in the holy areas and a place where a large number of people takes place. Especially during pilgrimage, in political rallies the authority finds it difficult to manage the situation.

Face Detection Using Viola Jones Algorithm and Neural Networks
2018 Fourth International Conference on Computing Communication Control and Automation (ICCUBEA), 2018Face detection is a technique of detecting faces from pictures, video footages, etc. There are various face detection algorithms; one of the widely used algorithm is the Viola Jones algorithm for object detection. The success rate of this algorithm for detecting faces is about 78.4%.

Literature Study of Face Recognition using The Viola-Jones Algorithm
2021 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Mechatronics Systems (AIMS), 2021The face is the front part of a human expression comprising the eyes, nose, lips, cheeks, forehead, and chin. These characters are uniquely placed according to a human's pattern of face. The Viola-Jones algorithm is used to recognize and detect objects, including this human face.

Fast Optic Disc Localization Using Viola-Jones Algorithm
2019This paper proposes the implementation of the Viola-Jones algorithm for the Optic Disc (OD) localization in eye fundus images. A robust classifier for the detection of the region of interest (ROI), which contains the OD through the Viola-Jones algorithm was trained, and the center of the ROI for the OD localization was found.

Identification of river hydromorphological features using Viola-Jones Algorithm
2016 IEEE Region 10 Conference (TENCON), 2016In this paper, a quadcopter equipped with a camera was used to capture images from a river. These captured images were used as training data in the detection program used to detect the hydromorphological features in the area of the river such as trees, roofs, roads and the shore.

Automated Quantification of Eye Blink Rate Using VIOLA–JONES Algorithm
International Journal of Technology Diffusion, 2018In this article, we have proposed a novel tool that helps to objectively quantify eye blink rate. Using the proposed algorithm, a threshold for normal blink rate can be set to test those who have to reduce eye blink rate and are prone to ocular surface dryness.
