Shortest path in a polygon using sublinear space

open access: yesJournal of Computational Geometry, 2015
We resolve an open problem due to Tetsuo Asano, showing how to compute the shortest path in a polygon, given in a read only memory, using sublinear space and subquadratic time.

SPACE–TIME FOAM MAY VIOLATE THE PRINCIPLE OF EQUIVALENCE [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2004
The interactions of different particle species with the foamy space–time fluctuations expected in quantum gravity theories may not be universal, in which case different types of energetic particles may violate Lorentz invariance by varying amounts, violating the equivalence principle.

Some Thermodynamic Features in Space-times with Violation of Causality [PDF]

open access: yesGravitation and Cosmology, 2021
General relativity does not prohibit the existence of space-times that describe time travel. Consideration of such spaces gives rise to a lot of questions and paradoxes, among which there are thermodynamic ones. This paper considers two situations that describe time travel, and explains why their existence does not mean that time machines are ...
