Thrombotic microangiopathy due to Viperidae bite: Two case reports

Snake bite is mainly an occupational hazard and causes serious health problems in rural India. Acute kidney injury (AKI) occurs in 5-30% cases. Renal pathologic findings include acute tubular necrosis, cortical necrosis, interstitial nephritis, glomerulonephritis, and vasculitis.

Caryospora bigenetica (Apicomplexa: Eimeriidae) in South America: new hosts and distribution records

ALBINISMO EN Crotalus simus (SQUAMATA: VIPERIDAE)

Presentamos aquí la primera observación de la alteración de los patrones de coloración, en un espécimen juvenil de Crotalus simus Latreille, 1801, que fue diagnosticado con albinismo. Se discute la existencia de las variaciones de color en las poblaciones de serpientes silvestres y las implicaciones de estas para la aptitud.
