Inhibition of viral replication by anticellular serum
Virology, 1963Abstract The inhibition of ECHO and Coxsackie A9 viruses by antiserum to human amnion cells was investigated. The antiserum inhibited the intracellular replication of Coxsackie A9 virus in amnion cells but did not affect viral adsorption or eclipse.

[Strategy of viral replication].
Casopis lekaru ceskych, 1993Virus replication is a multistep process which is realized mostly by virus-coded enzymes and in a small part by cell-coded enzymes. Affection of the virus-coded enzymes can be, and is, utilized to restrict virus replication without damaging the host cell.
