Second Virial Coefficients for Dimethyl Ether [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2009
Dimethyl ether (DME) is a clean and economical alternative fuel. In addition, it is also an ozone-friendly refrigerant. Burnett measurements were carried out at temperatures from (344 to 393) K and at pressures from (0.055 to 4.015) MPa. A total of 138 experimental points, taken along 15 isotherms and 12 different temperatures, were obtained.

Determination of the Second Virial Coefficient for Binary Mixtures of Ar with CH4 and CO using Van der Waals and Dieterici Models [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2019
In this paper, we calculate the second virial coefficient for binary mixtures of Ar with CH4 and CO in order to evaluate the performance of equations of state (EOSs).

Third virial coefficient of the unitary Bose gas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
By unitary Bose gas we mean a system composed of spinless bosons with s-wave interaction of infinite scattering length and almost negligible (real or effective) range. Experiments are currently trying to realize it with cold atoms.

Re-evaluation of experimental data on the second virial coefficient for steam and development of its analytical representation as a function of the internal energy

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
A re-evaluation of the second virial coefficient of steam is presented in the paper. The work is a part of broader effort to develop a formulation of the properties of dry and metastable steam suitable for CFD computations.

Calculations of thermophysical characteristics of xenon [PDF]

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2018
On the basis of a generalization of thermodynamics in fractional derivatives and some analytical expressions obtained, taking into account the second virial coefficient B, we calculated thermophysical characteristics of a noble gas xenon Xe: entropy S ...

Aqueous biphasic systems containing sodium L-tartrate dihydrate and PEG, experimental and application of extended thermodynamic models

open access: yesChemical Thermodynamics and Thermal Analysis, 2023
In the current study, liquid-liquid equilibrium data of aqueous two-phase systems (ATPS) containing polyethylene glycol at the different molecular weights (1000, 2000, 6000, and 8000) - sodium L-tartrate dihydrate - water at 298.15 K were obtained ...

Universality in a 2-component Fermi System at Finite Temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Thermodynamic properties of a fermionic system close to the unitarity limit, where the 2-body scattering length |a| approaches infinity is studied at high temperature Boltzmann regime. For dilute systems the virial expansion coefficients in the Boltzmann

Modeling of multicomponent and multitemperature adsorption equilibria of water vapor and organic compounds on activated carbons

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 2016
Adsorption equilibria of the pure component and binary gaseous mixtures of water vapor and organic compound (toluene or n-butanol) on two selected activated carbons: Sorbonorit 4 and BPL 4×6 were studied.

Thermophysical Properties of Light and Heavy Water from Second Virial Coefficient; Isotopic Substitution Effect [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nuclear Research and Applications
In this paper, some thermophysical properties of light and heavy water will be predicted and modeled using the virial equation of state (VEOS), and the effect of isotopic substitution will be studied.
