De la consistance sémiotique à la consistance politique

open access: yesSociologies, 2017
Brand advertisings and personal assistants embedded in our connected objects define collective beings because they are both directly handyable by millions of users and they appear with their own interiority, detached from the individual level.

Virtual personal assistance

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2017
Human computer communication has growing demand recent days. The new generation of autonomous technology aspires to give computer interfaces emotional states that relate and consider user as well as system environment considerations. In the existing computational model is based an artificial intelligent and externally by multi-modal expression ...

Independent Living for people with disabilities: from patient to citizen and customer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
[Excerpt] I want to suggest that differences in the attitudinal and material conditions determine disabled peoples’ life opportunities, how dependent or independent we can become.

A Scalable Perovskite Platform With Multi‐State Photoresponsivity for In‐Sensor Saliency Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable in‐sensor computing platform (32 × 32 array) with ultra‐low variability is developed by incorporating ferroelectric copolymers into halide perovskite thin films. These devices achieve 1000 programmable photoresponsivity states and high thermal reliability.

Holding a lead, or the tail wagging the dog? Exploring educator influence over the behaviour of AI Digital Assistants

open access: yesUbiquity Proceedings
As GenAI tools become more pervasive in learning, the ways in which educators can influence the behaviour of these systems should be a focus for research and innovation.

Pattern Formation in Non‐Equilibrium Architected Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This article demonstrates an artificial mechanical system ‐ a robotic metamaterial ‐ as an accessible and versatile platform within which to explore and prescribe the reaction‐diffusion driven pattern formation hitherto associated with comparatively less accessible and versatile non‐equilibrium biological and chemical systems.

3D Printed Multimaterial Microfluidic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce a biocompatible, high resolution photopolymer resin that closely mimics the Young's Modulus (elasticity) and reversible stretchability (no hysteresis) of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), enabling the fabrication of microfluidic transistors (i.e., microvalves capable of proportional amplification) by multimaterial stereolithography (mSLA ...
