Methods for virtual human bones and movement control

2011 4th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, 2011
Based on common programming language the establishment of three-dimensional human bone motion and control platform can be achieved to simulate the motion relationship between bones. There are two motion controlling modes based on the algorithm AABB.

Virtual Reassembly of Fractured Bones for Orthopedic Surgery

2018 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV), 2018
In orthopedic surgery, the traditional restoration of comminuted fracture basically relies on surgeon's manual work, which is usually intricate and error-prone. If fractured bones are poorly reassembled, the patient may suffer from more exposure to radiation and longer recovery time.

A virtual laboratory for temporal bone microanatomy

Computing in Science & Engineering, 2005
Located in the lateral cranial base, the temporal bone is one of the human body's most complicated parts. It contains many tiny, delicate, and detailed anatomical structures, including many irregular orifices, antra (cavities), canals, and fissures. Crucial nerves, blood vessels, and auditory and vestibular organs coexist in this dense bone structure ...

The Virtual Temporal Bone

1998
The human temporal bone is a 3-dimensionally complex portion of the skull that contains delicate and vital anatomic structures imbedded within dense bone. Current teaching tools have proven to be only marginally adequate for the needs of the aspiring otologic surgeon in learning this anatomy.
