This review highlights how machine learning (ML) algorithms are employed to enhance sensor performance, focusing on gas and physical sensors such as haptic and strain devices. By addressing current bottlenecks and enabling simultaneous improvement of multiple metrics, these approaches pave the way toward next‐generation, real‐world sensor applications.

The Nonconforming Virtual Element Method with Curved Edges
We introduce a nonconforming virtual element method for the Poisson equation on domains with curved boundary and internal interfaces. We prove arbitrary order optimal convergence in the energy and $L^2$ norms, and validate the theoretical results with numerical experiments.

Selection Strategies for Flexible Pressure Sensor Electrode Materials Toward Ultrafast Response
This study reveals, for the first time, how the electrode–organic interface governs the temporal performance of flexible pressure sensors. By pairing high‐conductivity CVD PEDOT with commonly used metal electrodes, the authors demonstrate that interfacial energy alignment dictates microsecond‐scale response, providing a straightforward design strategy ...

Stretchable p/n‐pair Ag@Ag2Se TE fibers are developed for next‐generation fiber‐based electronics. The TE fibers maintain excellent electrical conductivity and a high Seebeck coefficient under strain. Integrated into textiles, they enable simultaneous temperature and strain sensing, as well as energy harvesting, offering great potential for ...

In this study, the preparation techniques for silver‐based gas diffusion electrodes used for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (eCO2R) are systematically reviewed and compared with respect to their scalability. In addition, physics‐based and data‐driven modeling approaches are discussed, and a perspective is given on how modeling can aid ...

A velocity-based moving mesh virtual element method
We present a velocity-based moving mesh virtual element method for the numerical solution of PDEs involving moving boundaries. The virtual element method is used for computing both the mesh velocity and a conservative Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian solution transfer on general polygonal meshes.

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.
