FiN‐Kiri: Fabric‐Based Inflatable Kirigami Actuator for Multimodal Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study introduces a type of inflatable fabric‐based kirigami actuator capable of performing bending motion. The actuator is utilized as soft grippers, a crawling robot and a swimming robot. The crawling robot demonstrated extraordinary motion capabilities, such as moving forward, turning and navigating a narrow tunnel.

Adaptive inertia control of hybrid energy storage system based on Butterworth filter

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
The large-scale access of new energy to the power grid leads to a significant decrease in the inertia level of the power system, which seriously threatens the system frequency stability.

Fibrates Inhibit PLTP‐induced M2 Macrophage Infiltration and Increase the Sensitivity of Hepatocellular Carcinoma to ICIs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phospholipid transfer protein(PLTP) plays a critical role in forming a complex with kinase A (AURKA) and P65. This interaction facilitates phosphorylation of P65 at Ser536, leading to the activation of the NF‐κB signaling pathway. Ultimately, this leads to the upregulation of downstream cytokines, including IL‐6, IL‐8, and CSF‐1, which promotes M2 ...

Palmitoylation‐Mediated Ubiquitination of SRPK1 Regulates Ferroptosis in High‐Fat‐Induced Erectile Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Elevated exogenous palmitic acid promotes the S‐palmitoylation of SRPK1 in endothelial cells, a dynamic process governed by ZDHHC24 and APT1. This post‐translational modification strengthens the interaction between SRPK1 and the E3 ubiquitin ligase MIB1, thereby facilitating the proteasomal degradation of SRPK1.

Robust Virtual Inertia Control of an Islanded Microgrid Considering High Penetration of Renewable Energy

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper presents robust virtual inertia control of an islanded microgrid considering high penetration of renewable energy sources (RESs). In such microgrids, the lack of system inertia due to the replacement of traditional generating units with a ...

Dynamic Virtual Inertia and Damping Control for Zero-Inertia Grids

open access: yes
In this paper virtual synchronous generation (VSG) approach is investigated in application to low- and zero-inertia grids operated by grid-forming (GFM) inverters. The key idea here is to introduce dynamic inertia and damping constants in order to keep power gird stable during different types of faults, islanding or large power balance oscillations. In

HSP90AB1‐Mediated Ubiquitin‐Proteasome Degradation of ITGBL1 Promotes Osteosarcoma Progression by Inhibiting Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress‐Induced Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study delineates a novel HSP90AB1‐ITGBL1 signaling axis governing osteosarcoma. HSP90AB1 promotes K63‐linked ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of ITGBL1. Restoring ITGBL1 induces reactive oxygen species‐dependent endoplasmic reticulum stress and pro‐death autophagy, suppressing tumor growth and metastasis.

Ultrasound Modulation of Visual Circuits in Mice Independent of Auditory Confound

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, Qiu et al. found that low‐intensity ultrasound can directly activate sparse ultrasound‐sensitive neurons (UNs) in the primary visual cortex (V1) of deafened mice. The proportion of these sparse UNs is pressure‐dependent. Furthermore, ultrasound modulates visual circuitry with distinct excitatory and inhibitory effects.

An Adaptive Virtual Inertial Control Strategy for DC Distribution Networks

open access: yesEnergies
The DC distribution network is a low-inertia system, which is very sensitive to load disturbance, system failure, and other factors. By adding virtual capacitance to the converter connected to the power supply, the virtual inertia of the DC power grid ...
