Total precision inspection of machine tools with virtual metrology
Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers, 2015The technology of virtual metrology (VM) has been applied in the semiconductor industry to convert sampling inspection with metrology delay into real time and online total inspection. The purpose of this study is trying to apply VM for inspecting machining precision of machine tools.

Virtual training for the maintenance of machine tools
AHFE InternationalIn the course of digital change, systems and processes are increasingly being planned, adapted and tested using computers. Innovative technical aids are needed to guide staff and relieve them physically and mentally in order to cope with flexibly changing work tasks such as the maintenance of machine tools.Virtual reality (VR) offers attractive ...

Web-based implementation of virtual machine tools
Proceedings KORUS 2000. The 4th Korea-Russia International Symposium On Science and Technology, 2002In this research, the virtual machine tool that is implemented for WWW and their associated technologies, is introduced. Also, modeling techniques to express the machine tool on Internet are introduced. The Web-based virtual machine tool can be applied for educational purposes by overcoming the site-dependency.

A Language and Tool for Generating Efficient Virtual Machine Interpreters
2004Stack-based virtual machines (VMs) are a popular representation for implementing programming languages, and for distributing programs in a target neutral form. VMs can be implemented with an interpreter to be simple, portable, quick to start and have low memory requirements.

qvm: A Command Line Tool for the Provisioning of Virtual Machines
Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Cloud Computing and Services Science, 2018The purpose of this paper is to create and demonstrate a command line utility that uses freely available cloud images—typically intended for deployment within public and private cloud environments—to rapidly provision virtual machines on a local server, taking advantage of the ZFS file system.

Virtual Design and Optimization of Machine Tool Spindles
CIRP Annals, 2005An integrated digital model of spindle, tool holder, tool and cutting process is presented. The spindle is modeled using an in-house developed Finite Element system. The preload on the bearings and the influence of gyroscopic and centrifugal forces from all rotating parts due to speed are considered.

Design and Implementation of Resource Management Tool for Virtual Machine
2012To support real time task in a virtual machine, hypervisor have to monitor system resource and provide exact resource for real time task. There are several monitor tools running on virtual machine, however, it has limitations on supporting detailed information for monitoring real time workload, performance degradation and difficult for controlling user

An Integrated Virtual Engineering Environment for Machine Tools
2004High-speed machine tools ask for small settling times and overshoots of the tool motions, and hence light-weight moving parts and high-performance control systems. To obtain such high performance, the classical rule of thumb that the control bandwidth should be less than half of the first structural eigenfrequency of the machine cannot be adhered to ...
