Hafnium (Hf)‐rich carbon dots (Hf‐rCDs) with high metal content (40.7%) and robust batch production capacity (>2 g per batch) are synthesized via a facile air‐assisted pyrolysis method. In vivo CT imaging demonstrates outstanding performance of Hf‐rCDs across multiple physiological systems and enables high‐resolution visualization of swine cervical ...

Experience with the Jungfrau‐1M detector at Diamond Light Source
A Jungfrau‐1M integrating detector was characterized at Diamond Light Source and found to be effective for recording macromolecular crystallography diffraction patterns. Parameters for operation and data collection were explored and characterized. The Diamond facility will be upgraded and integrating detectors, such as Jungfrau, will be used more ...

This study investigated whether virtual monoenergetic images (VMIs) and iodine mapping based on dual-energy CT (DECT) provide advantages in the assessment of endometrial cancer. A dual-source DECT was performed for primary staging of histologically proven endometrioid adenocarcinoma in 21 women (66.8 ± 12.0 years).

Abstract Neuroendocrine neoplasms are a rare and complex tumor entity, among which pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms generally display a more aggressive behavior. Despite a notable stage migration towards lower stages at initial diagnosis, the incidence of pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms is rising.

Dual-Energy CT in Oncologic Imaging
Dual-energy CT (DECT) is an innovative technology that is increasingly widespread in clinical practice. DECT allows for tissue characterization beyond that of conventional CT as imaging is performed using different energy spectra that can help ...

Improved visualization of hypodense liver lesions in virtual monoenergetic images from spectral detector CT: Proof of concept in a 3D-printed phantom and evaluation in 74 patients. [PDF]
OBJECTIVES The well-known boost of iodine associated-attenuation in low-keV virtual monoenergetic images (VMI_low) is frequently used to improve visualization of lesions and structures taking up contrast media.
