Self‐adaptive online virtual network migration in network virtualization environments [PDF]
AbstractIn Network Virtualization Environments, the capability of operators to allocate resources in the Substrate Network (SN) to support Virtual Networks (VNs) in an optimal manner is known as Virtual Network Embedding (VNE). In the same context, online VN migration is the process meant to reallocate components of a VN, or even an entire VN among ...

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

Generalized virtual networking: An enabler for service centric networking and network function virtualization [PDF]
In this paper we introduce the Generalized Virtual Networking (GVN) concept. GVN provides a framework to influence the routing of packets based on service level information that is carried in the packets. It is based on a protocol header inserted between the Network and Transport layers, therefore it can be seen as a layer 3.5 solution.

Virtual Network Function Migration Based on Dynamic Resource Requirements Prediction
Network function virtualization (NFV) enables flexible deployment of virtual network function (VNF) in 5G mobile communication network. Due to the inherent dynamics of network flows, fluctuated resources are required to embedding VNFs.
