Inmunopatogenia y fisiopatología de la hepatitis por virus B
HBV, Hepadnaviridae family, not direct cytopathic. This hepatocellular lesion is the result of an immunological response to viral antigens. A very aggressive response causes fulminant hepatitis. In chronic cases there is a weak response from lymphocyte T cell CD 8 and predominates the humoral response of TH-2 (IL-4-5-10) substances. Factors that affect

Epidemiology of hepatitis virus in the Colombian Amazon after 15 years of hepatitis B vaccination.
Hepatitis B virus infection (HBV) is an endemic public health problem in many countries around the globe. Latin America (LA) is considered an area of low and medium endemicity for hepatitis B infection. A highly effective vaccine has been available since

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

Palmitic Acid Promotes Antiviral Innate Immunity via ZDHHC20‐Mediated CMPK2 Palmitoylation
Metabolites have important functions in innate immune activation and regulation. Wang et al. uncover metabolic regulation of antiviral immunity through CMPK2 palmitoylation, which regulates CMPK2 mitochondrial localization and is promoted by ZDHHC20 but reversed by PPT1, inhibition of which antagonizes viral infection in mice.

Secreted Nonstructural Protein 3 is a Pathogenic Determinant of Orbivirus
This study uncovers a conserved PIP2‐dependent secretory pathway of orbivirus NS3 that induces vascular leakage. Pharmacological disruption of PIP2‐NS3 interaction significantly reduces viral pathogenicity and provides protective efficacy in murine models, establishing PIP2‐mediated NS3 secretion as both a key virulence determinant and a promising ...
