Epicutaneous and Drug Provocation Testing in Severe Cutaneous Adverse Reactions: A 20‐Year Single‐Centre Experience

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, EarlyView.
This study provides reassuring evidence in favour of early skin testing in patients with SCARs, argues against the necessity of a 6‐month delay, and underscores the pivotal role of oral provocation tests in the safe reintroduction of essential therapies. ABSTRACT Background Identifying and discontinuing the offending drug(s) in severe cutaneous adverse

Hypoxia Exacerbates Periapical Periodontitis‐Associated Pathological Bone Loss via the Hypoxia‐Inducible Factor‐2α‐Calmodulin‐Dependent Protein Kinase IV Axis

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Hypoxia exposure activates HIF‐2α, which binds to the Camk4 promoter to enhance RANKL‐mediated osteoclast differentiation, leading to aggravated alveolar bone resorption in periapical periodontitis. ABSTRACT Periapical periodontitis is one of the most common inflammatory bone destructive diseases. Epidemiological evidence suggests that hypoxia exposure,

Clinical‐Grade Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell‐Derived Neural Precursor Cells Restore Motor Function and Preserve Striatal Integrity in a Quinolinic Acid‐Lesioned Rat Model of Huntington's Disease

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Clinical‐grade HLA‐homozygous iPSC‐derived neural precursor cells restore motor function, rebuild striatal circuitry and reduce neuroinflammation in QA‐lesioned rats. These findings demonstrate robust neuronal replacement and microenvironment modulation, supporting their potential as a regenerative therapy for Huntington's disease.

Teplizumab in Stage 2 Type 1 Diabetes: Clinical Practice Experience on Feasibility in 3 Adult Patients

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To describe the first Italian experience with teplizumab administered under a compassionate use programme for adults with Stage 2 type 1 diabetes (T1D), and to evaluate its feasibility, safety and early metabolic outcomes in a real‐life clinical setting outside formal clinical trials.

Association of GLP‐1 Receptor Agonists With Hepatic Decompensation in the All of Us Research Program

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims To evaluate the association between glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonist (GLP‐1RA) initiation and the risk of hepatic decompensation compared with dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitors (DPP4is) in a racially and ethnically diverse cohort of adults with Type 2 diabetes.
