Viscoelastic Cell Mechanics and actin remodelling are dependent on the rate of applied pressure
Background: living cells are subjected to external and internal mechanical stresses. The effects of these stresses on the deformation and subsequent biological response of the cells remains unclear. This study tested the hypothesis that the rate at which

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Do not let thermal drift and instrument artifacts deceive high‐temperature nanoindentation results. We compare classical Oliver–Pharr and automatic image recognition analyses across steels and a Ni alloy to quantify these effects. Accounting for artifacts reveals systematic softening with temperature, while Cr and Ni additions boost resistance ...

A General Decay and Optimal Decay Result in a Heat System with a Viscoelastic Term [PDF]
We consider a quasilinear heat system in the presence of an integral term and establish a general and optimal decay result from which improves and generalizes several stability results in the literature.

Singularity of dynamic stress fields around an interface crack between viscoelastic bodies
The singular nature of the dynamic stress fields around an interface crack located between two dissimilar isotropic linearly viscoelastic bodies is studied. A harmonic load is imposed on the surfaces of the interface crack.
