REGULARITIES OF VISCOSITY FORMATION OF CONDENSED FAT-FREE MILK WITH SUGAR FROM HEAT TREATMENT PARAMETERS

open access: yesПищевые системы, 2018
Structural and mechanical properties of condensed milk preserves, including viscosity, depend on many factors (the type and composition of the raw dairy raw materials, processing techniques, conditions and shelf life, etc.) and through the organoleptic ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Novel azo-peresters radical initiators used for the synthesis of acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2008
Acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) based on two monomers: 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and acrylic acid were synthesized in organic solvent ethyl acetate using AIBN (2, 2'-azo-diisobutyronitrile) and new synthesized azo-peresters as radical ...

TechnoFile: Viscosity

open access: yes, 2012
The article focuses on the effect the viscosity of a glaze or slip has on a piece of pottery. The article explains the term and provides tests that can be performed to determine the viscosity of a substance.

Effect of temperature-dependent eta/s on flow anisotropies

open access: yes, 2011
We investigate the effects of a temperature-dependent shear viscosity over entropy density ratio eta/s on the flow anisotropy coefficients v_2 and v_4 in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and LHC.

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

The Quality of Yoghurt Fortification Tuna Fishbone (Thunnus sp.) Nanocalcium: Physicochemistry and Microstructure

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Hasil Ternak
Calcium is very important mineral for human body. Fortification of natural calcium source into yoghurt can be a way to provide calcium requirement. Fortification nanocalcium into yoghurt also can increase bioavailability of calcium.

Study of Rheological Properties of Bituminous Binders in Middle and High Temperatures

open access: yesCivil and Environmental Engineering, 2016
The bitumen binders in road pavements are exposed traffic loading effect at different climatic conditions. A resistance to these stresses depends on bitumen properties as well. The paper presents rheological properties (G*, δ, ν*) determined and compared

Anomalous Viscosity of the Quark-Gluon Plasma

open access: yes, 2014
The shear viscosity of the quark-gluon plasma is predicted to be lower than the collisional viscosity for weak coupling. The estimated ratio of the shear viscosity to entropy density is rather close to the ratio calculated by N = 4 super Yang-Mills ...

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...
