Stochastic PDEs with multiscale structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We study the spatial homogenisation of parabolic linear stochastic PDEs exhibiting a two-scale structure both at the level of the linear operator and at the level of the Gaussian driving noise.

Insights into the Stability of Mixed Convective Darcy–Forchheimer Flows of Cross Liquids from a Vertical Plate with Consideration of the Significant Impact of Velocity and Thermal Slip Conditions

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
This paper reflects the effects of velocity and thermal slip conditions on the stagnation-point mixed convective flow of Cross liquid moving over a vertical plate entrenched in a Darcy−Forchheimer porous medium.

A New Viscosity Equation For Bin Aqueous Solutions. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
An equation for the viscosity of binary aqueous solutions has been derived based on the Power law equation and Erying's absolute rate theory. The concentration dependent equation for viscosities of binary aqueous systems is derived using additive ...

Representation formula for viscosity solution to a PDE problem involving Pucci’s extremal operator [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis: Real World Applications, 2021
We provide a representation formula for viscosity solutions to an elliptic Dirichlet problem involving Pucci's extremal operators. This is done through a dynamic programming principle derived from Denis, Hu and Peng (2010). The formula can be seen as a nonlinear extension of the Feynman-Kac formula.

Perron’s method for viscosity solutions of semilinear path dependent PDEs [PDF]

open access: yesStochastics, 2016
This paper proves the existence of viscosity solutions of path dependent semilinear PDEs via Perron's method, i.e. via showing that the supremum of viscosity subsolutions is a viscosity solution. We use the notion of viscosity solutions introduced by Ekren, Keller, Touzi and Zhang, in whose work all smooth processes which are tangent in mean are ...

Quadratic BSDEs with Singular Generators and Unbounded Terminal Conditions: Theory and Applications

open access: yesMathematics
We investigate a class of quadratic backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) with generators that are singular in y. First, we establish the existence of solutions and a comparison theorem, thereby extending the existing results in the ...

On a vector-valued generalisation of viscosity solutions for general PDE systems [PDF]

open access: yesZeitschrift für Analysis und ihre Anwendungen, 2022
We propose a theory of non-differentiable solutions which applies to fully nonlinear PDE systems and extends the theory of viscosity solutions of Crandall–Ishii–Lions to the vectorial case. Our key ingredient is the discovery of a notion of extremum for maps which extends min-max and allows “nonlinear passage of derivatives” to test maps.
