Engineered Leaf‐Branch Compost Cutinase with Enhanced PET Degradation Across a Broad Temperature Range

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study aimed to identify poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET)‐degrading enzymes effective under industrially relevant conditions. An engineered leaf and branch compost cutinase variant showed enhanced PET hydrolysis across multiple temperatures, outperforming existing enzymes.

Fabric on fabric: A conductive fabric‐based wearable coil using cutting plotter for MRI at 3T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 1, Page 647-660, January 2026.
Abstract PurposeWearable coils fabricated using conductive threads have high resistance that limits SNR. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the utility of conductive fabric as a coil conductor that can be fabricated using a cutting plotter. MethodsA single‐channel coil was developed by feeding a conductive fabric sheet into an automatic cutting

Strain‐Induced Piezo‐Optoelectronic Coupling in Monolayer MoS2

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
This work demonstrates direct piezo‐optoelectronic coupling in large‐area monolayer MoS2, where strain‐induced piezoelectric polarization modulates photocurrent generation. By linking nanoscale piezoresponse with device‐level photodetection, the authors show that mechanical strain serves as a controllable knob for exciton dissociation and charge ...

Deconstructing the Cosmological Constant

open access: yes, 2003
Deconstruction provides a novel way of dealing with the notoriously difficult ultraviolet problems of four-dimensional gravity. This approach also naturally leads to a new perspective on the holographic principle, tying it to the fundamental requirements
