ABSTRACT Background PIK3CA‐related overgrowth spectrum (PROS) includes several rare overgrowth disorders resulting from somatic gain‐of‐function mutations in PIK3CA. Despite treatment advances, including the recent approval of alpelisib for PROS in the United States, literature detailing the patient experience with PROS is limited.

A Full-Visible-Spectrum Invisibility Cloak for Mesoscopic Metal Wires
Structured metals can sustain a very large scattering cross-section that is induced by localized surface plasmons, which often has an adverse effect on their use as transparent electrodes in displays, touch screens, and smart windows due to an issue of ...

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Filters for the Isolation of Narrow Regions in the Visible and Near-Visible Spectrum [PDF]
Investigations of photochemical reactions in higher plants and other biological systems frequently require the irradiation of large areas with welldefined regions in the visible and near-visible spectrum. Large glass filters or dyed gelatin filters of the Wratten type are costly.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
