Robot vision for the visually impaired
2010 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition - Workshops, 2010We present a head-mounted, stereo-vision based navigational assistance device for the visually impaired. The head-mounted design enables our subjects to stand and scan the scene for integrating wide-field information, compared to shoulder or waist-mounted designs in literature which require body rotations.

Localization in impaired spatial vision
Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, 1995The present study provides clear clinico-anatomical evidence for localization of the spatial vision pathway. We report the case of a 29-year-old woman with severe spatial vision impairment. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed distinct bilateral and symmetrical occipito-parietal damage.
