Development of SCARLIGHT (Stand Camera Magnifier Light) Media for Improving the Seeing Ability of Low Vision [PDF]
Experienced limitations in visual function and low vision This results in limitations in the level and diversity of visual experience. Information is obtained comprehensively through the sense of sight, therefore vision is hampered by students' low ...

A Non‐Reciprocal Architected Porous Medium
ABSTRACT In several fluid flow, energy‐dumping, and energy‐harvesting applications, a dominant flow direction or dominant resistance direction is desirable. In this study, we propose a simple modular geometry that doubles flow resistance in one direction relative to the opposite direction, while maintaining laminar viscous flow.

Testing dynamical models of vision
Most models of vision focus either on the spatial or temporal aspects of visual processing and neglect the other component. A variety of studies have shown, however, that spatial and temporal processing cannot easily be separated. The shine-through effect has proven to be a sensitive tool to study spatio-temporal processing.

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...
