Masked Vision-Language Transformer in Fashion

open access: yes, 2022
We present a masked vision-language transformer (MVLT) for fashion-specific multi-modal representation. Technically, we simply utilize vision transformer architecture for replacing the BERT in the pre-training model, making MVLT the first end-to-end ...

An In Situ Oxidation Strategy for Ti3C2@TiO2 Heterojunction: Narrow‐Band Photodetection and Trace Chromium Ion Determination

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Ti3C2@TiO2 heterostructure has been successfully fabricated by an in situ oxidation approach. The as‐fabricated Ti3C2@TiO2‐based photodetector exhibits narrow‐spectrum response with excellent stability. It also realizes sensitive Cr(VI) detection in a large concentration range of 10−12–10−6 M with an ultra‐low detection limit of 7.6 × 10−12 M ...

Gellan Gum Fluid Gel System for Controlled‐Delivery of Cytokine‐Licensed MSC‐EVs to Enhance Corneal Repair in Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Gellan gum fluid gel (FG) enables controlled ocular delivery of mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EV). Its shear‐thinning, solid‐liquid‐solid rheology ensures prolonged ocular retention. Sustained MSC‐EV release (∼18% in 6 hrs) supports effective EV ocular delivery.

FSwin Transformer: Feature-Space Window Attention Vision Transformer for Image Classification

open access: yesIEEE Access
The vision transformer (ViT) with global self-attention exhibits quadratic computational complexity that depends on the image size. To address this issue, window-based self-attention ViT limits attention area to a specific window, thereby mitigating the ...

On Vision Transformer for Ultra-short-term Forecasting of Photovoltaic Generation Using Sky Images

open access: yes
An accurate photovoltaic (PV) generation forecasting is important for grid scheduling and dispatching. However, ultra-short-term PV generation forecasting is rather challenging because weather conditions may change significantly in a short time period ...

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

Entangled transformer for image captioning

open access: yes, 2021
© 2019 IEEE. In image captioning, the typical attention mechanisms are arduous to identify the equivalent visual signals especially when predicting highly abstract words. This phenomenon is known as the semantic gap between vision and language.
