The attentional drift-diffusion model extends to simple purchasing decisions [PDF]
How do we make simple purchasing decisions (e.g., whether or not to buy a product ata given price)? Previous work has shown that the Attentional-Drift-Diffusion-Model (aDDM)can provide accurate descriptions of the psychometric data for binary and trinary

Orbits of Binary Stars: from Visual Measures to Speckle Interferometry [PDF]
Knowledge of the orbits of visual binary stars has always been one of the fundamentals of astronomy. Based historically on the visual measures, nowadays the orbits rely more (or exclusively) on the accurate speckle data.

The young, wide and very low mass visual binary LOri167 [PDF]
We look for wide, faint companions around members of the 5 Myr Lambda Orionis open cluster. We used optical, near-infrared, and Spitzer/IRAC photometry. We report the discovery of a very wide very low mass visual binary, LOri167, formed by a brown dwarf ...

On the component masses of visual binaries
In the Sixth Catalog of Orbits of Visual Binary Stars we found those belonging to the Main Sequence to form a sample containing 432 visual binaries. Their total masses were obtained dynamically, i.e. they were calculated using the orbital elements and the new Hipparcos parallaxes.

Visual Binaries in the Orion Nebula Cluster [PDF]
We have carried out a major survey for visual binaries towards the Orion Nebula Cluster using HST images obtained with an H-alpha filter. Among 781 likely ONC members more than 60" from theta-1 Ori C, we find 78 multiple systems (75 binaries and 3 triples), of which 55 are new discoveries, in the range from 0.1" to 1.5".

The orbit of the visual binary ADS 8630 (γ Vir)
We present a new orbit for the visual binary ADS 8630 = γ Vir. Although it is one of the first visual double stars discovered, its orbital elements were still poorly known.

The visual binary Lambda Ophiuchi
The orbital elements of this visual binary are revised; we find a=0.91" and P=129 yr. The mass ratio measured from a 75-yr series of astrometric plates supports the spectroscopically suspected presence of a third body.

Orbital elements of six visual binary stars
Revised orbital elements of the visual binary stars STT 515, BU 4 AB, STF 183 AB, A 207, STT 43 and A 2413 are given. Dynamical parallaxes and total masses of the systems have been calculated.
