Sex‐Related Differences in Efficacy and Safety Outcomes in Axial Spondyloarthritis Randomized Clinical Trials: A Systematic Literature Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to assess differences in baseline characteristics, efficacy, and safety of advanced therapies between male and female patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) in randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Methods We conducted a systematic literature search for RCTs assessing the efficacy of advanced therapies in patients with axSpA ...

Bilinear Random Projections for Locality-Sensitive Binary Codes

open access: yes, 2015
Locality-sensitive hashing (LSH) is a popular data-independent indexing method for approximate similarity search, where random projections followed by quantization hash the points from the database so as to ensure that the probability of collision is ...

Stress Detection and Audio-Visual Stimuli Classification From Electroencephalogram

open access: yesIEEE Access
Electroencephalogram (EEG) is the graphical representation of Brain’s electrical activity. Mental stress can be detected in many ways and EEG is one of them.

Some Photometric Characteristics of Population II Orbital Visual Binary Stars

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2003
A MV ,B−V diagram for metal-deficient, kinematically selected thick disk and halo visual binary stars with known orbits is presented. The magnitude differences Δm between the components are analyzed.

Spectrographic Observations of Visual Binaries [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the International Astronomical Union, 1966
At its Liège meeting, in July 1963, the Executive Committee of the Union voted to hold this Joint Discussion as a small homage to the memory of Professor Struve. I do not need to stress why the subject of ‘Close Binaries’ was chosen as we all know that it was closer to Professor Struve’s heart than any of the other ones in which he divided his broad ...

Longitudinal Relationship Between Pain and Depression in People With Inflammatory Arthritis: A Narrative Review

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
As many patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA) have chronic pain, understanding how to best assess and manage pain in IA is a priority. Comorbid depression is prevalent in adults with IA, affecting 15% to 39% of people. Although pain and depression are thought to be associated in IA, this concept is largely based on cross‐sectional data.

The primordial binary population II: Recovering the binary population for intermediate mass stars in Sco OB2

open access: yes, 2007
We characterize the binary population in the young and nearby OB association Scorpius OB2 using available observations of visual, spectroscopic, and astrometric binaries with intermediate-mass primaries.

Radial Velocity Search for Extrasolar Planets in Visual Binary Systems

open access: yes, 2009
We searched for extrasolar planets in visual binary systems using precise Doppler-shift measurements taken over a period of 4 yr. Using the HIgh Dispersion Echelle Spectrograph (HIDES) equipped on the Okayama Astrophysical Observatory (OAO) 188 cm ...

Development of Ternary Magnesium Alloys for Laser Powder Bed Fusion: Optimizing Oxide Layer Thickness

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing of magnesium alloys by laser is difficult because the melting point of the oxide layer is much higher than the evaporation temperature of the metal underneath. Making the oxide layer thinner can solve this problem. Alloying magnesium with strontium makes the oxide layer thinner, especially at 0.5 wt%.
