The visual component to saccadic compression. [PDF]
Visual objects presented around the time of saccadic eye movements are strongly mislocalized towards the saccadic target, a phenomenon known as "saccadic compression." Here we show that perisaccadic compression is modulated by the presence of a visual saccadic target.

Investigating human audio-visual object perception with a combination of hypothesis-generating and hypothesis-testing fMRI analysis tools [PDF]
Primate multisensory object perception involves distributed brain regions. To investigate the network character of these regions of the human brain, we applied data-driven group spatial independent component analysis (ICA) to a functional magnetic ...

Stimulus saliency modulates pre-attentive processing speed in human visual cortex [PDF]
The notion of a saliency-based processing architecture [1] underlying human vision is central to a number of current theories of visual selective attention [e.g., 2].

Requirements for a Provenance Visualization Component [PDF]
The need for interpretation of provenance data increases with the introduction of further provenance related IT-systems. The interpretation of data only becomes intuitively with providing good and efficient visualization possibilities. During the development of general provenance visualization techniques, provenance users are classified into groups ...

Attentional demand influences strategies for encoding into visual working memory [PDF]
Visual selective attention and visual working memory (WM) share the same capacity-limited resources. We investigated whether and how participants can cope with a task in which these 2 mechanisms interfere.
