A Hydrogen Sulfide–Releasing Dynamic Hydrogel Modulates Coordinated Neurovascular, Immune, and Angiogenic Responses for Scar‐Suppressed Diabetic Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS‐Responsive H2S Hydrogel (HAPPF) Coordinated Regeneration for High‐Quality Diabetic Wound Repair.A self‐regulating dynamic hydrogel is developed to deliver a fluorogenic H2S donor in response to excessive ROS. Released H2S acts as a master regulator to resolve chronic inflammation (M2 polarization), restore VEGF‐driven angiogenesis, and rebalance ...

How visual discomfort affects 3DTV viewers' emotional arousal

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceWe present the results of a research on the effects of image distor-tions known to induce visual discomfort (namely, the introduction of Gaussian blur on one visual field) on the emotional reactions of 3DTV viewers.

Longitudinal Single‐Axon‐Resolution Imaging of Peripheral Nerve Injury Response in Mice Using an Optical Window Implant

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A minimally invasive optical window enables stable, long‐term imaging of peripheral nerves in vivo at single‐axon resolution. Dynamic processes of degeneration, regeneration, and cellular remodeling are visualized across multiple time scales within the same nerve region, providing a unique platform to study a variety of anatomical and molecular events ...

Young children's perspectives of time: New directions for co‐constructing understandings of quality in ECEC

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Children's relationship with time in preschools is an under‐researched area. Young children rarely know how to measure time using a clock, but their experiences of time may contribute to understanding children's well‐being and debates about quality in preschools.

Visual discomfort and cortical hyperexcitability

open access: yes, 2012
Natural images contain statistical regularities that the human visual system is adapted to. Images that contain excess contrast energy at mid-range spatial frequencies are particularly aversive and can cause a variety of adverse effects including ...

Current Collector Engineering for New Efficient Bioresorbable Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bioresorbable Na‐ion battery is proposed with Mo or Mg thin‐film current collectors for temporary implants. Mo‐based batteries exhibit superior electrochemical performance and stable cycling compared with Mg counterparts. XPS was used to investigate the Mo/Mg surface oxidation.

Exploring the effects of 3D visual discomfort on viewers' emotions

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceMuch of the research on stereoscopic 3D (S3D) QoE has dealt with the effects of image features over user's visual discomfort. Nevertheless, the relationships between visual discomfort and other high-level perceptual dimensions such ...
