Properties of the Statpac Visual Field Index

open access: yesInvestigative Opthalmology & Visual Science, 2011
Purpose. To compare the properties of the visual field index (VFI) to those of mean deviation (MD) in patients with glaucoma. Methods. MD and VFI were calculated in data obtained from an ongoing longitudinal study in which patients with glaucoma (N = 109, 204 eyes) were observed for 9.8 years (median, 21 tests) with static automated perimetry.

“Over London at Night”: Gasworks, Ballooning, and the Visual Gas Field

open access: yesBritish Art Studies, 2022
In 1865, the scientist James Glaisher described the way that gaslights illuminated the outline of the serpentine river Thames when seen from a balloon: “On leaving Charing Cross I looked back over London, the model of which could be seen traced—its ...

Evaluating Silent Reading Performance with an Eye Tracking System in Patients with Glaucoma. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
To investigate the relationship between silent reading performance and visual field defects in patients with glaucoma using an eye tracking system.Fifty glaucoma patients (Group G; mean age, 52.2 years, standard deviation: 11.4 years) and 20 normal ...

Perimetry- Recent Advances

open access: yesDelhi Journal of Ophthalmology, 2022
Despite innumerable developments in the field of glaucoma, it is one of the most undiagnosed disease, causing irreversible blindness. Perimetry is investigation in glaucoma management as it narrates the amount of functional loss of visual field secondary

Comparison of relation between visual function index and retinal nerve fiber layer structure by optical coherence tomography among primary open angle glaucoma and primary angle closure glaucoma eyes

open access: yesOman Journal of Ophthalmology, 2014
Purpose: To compare the visual field index (VFI) in primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) and primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG) eyes, and to study the correlation with disc variables on optical coherence tomography (OCT) in all stages of severity ...

Clinical Validation of Visual Field Index

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society, 2010
Purpose: To determine the associations of visual field index (VFI) with advanced glaucoma intervention study (AGIS) score, mean deviation (MD), pattern standard deviation (PSD), and average retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness as measured by optical coherence tomography (OCT) and to evaluate the diagnostic abilities of these parameters.

Behavior of Visual Field Index in Advanced Glaucoma

open access: yesInvestigative Opthalmology & Visual Science, 2013
To evaluate the magnitude of Visual Field Index (VFI) change attributable to change in the estimation algorithm from the pattern deviation probability plot (PDPP) to the total deviation probability plot (TDPP) when the mean deviation (MD) crosses -20 decibels (dB).In a retrospective study, 37 stable glaucoma eyes in which MD of the VFs crossed -20 dB ...
