Comparison of visual field tests in glaucoma patients with a central visual field defect
Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019To compare the 24-2 and 10-2 visual fields (VFs) and investigate the degree of differences between the 2 tests in glaucomatous eyes with central VF defects.Retrospective study. In all, 99 eyes of 99 glaucoma patients who underwent both the 24-2 VF and 10-2 VF tests within 6 months were enrolled.Glaucomatous eyes with damage involving a central VF defect

Selecting visual field tests and assessing visual field deterioration in glaucoma
Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2014Testing the peripheral field of vision is the mainstay for detection of glaucoma deterioration. Various methods and algorithms are currently available for detection of early glaucoma or establishing disease progression. Alternative testing strategies such as frequency doubling technology perimetry or short-wavelength automated perimetry have been ...

Automated system for testing visual fields
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1973An electronic system for automatically testing the human visual field is described in the context of mass screening for visual disorders, such as glaucoma. Present methods of field testing are briefly reviewed. The new system is patient operated and uses a television monitor as the means for presenting the test stimuli and displaying the results.

Visualizing the structure of field testing problems
2009 IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance, 2009Field testing of a software application prior to general release is an important and essential quality assurance step. Field testing helps identify unforeseen problems. Extensive field testing leads to the reporting of a large number of problems which often overwhelm the allocated resources.

Principles of Visual Field Testing
2019Measurement of structural and functional damage is very important in the diagnosis and evaluation of progression in glaucoma. Retinal ganglion cell death and nerve fiber layer damage leads to visual field loss. Progressing disease results in progressing visual field defects and causes irreversible blindness.

Indications for and Interpretation of Visual Field Testing
Otolaryngologic Clinics of North AmericaField of vision is an important aspect of a person's overall vision. Many disease processes may impact a patient's visual field. Perimetry is the systematic measurement of a patient's visual field and can be used to diagnose intraocular, extraocular, and intracranial causes of vision loss.

Visual Field Testing in Pediatric Patients
Journal of Pediatric Neurology, 2016Diseases that affect vision in pediatric patients may impair central vision (i.e., 20/20 vision) or may affect peripheral or side vision. Although there are established quantitative methods to accurately evaluate central vision throughout childhood, methods of quantifiable peripheral vision or visual field testing are more limited. Some children may be
