Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 1997Visual phenomena are frequently reported in patients after ocular trauma, surgery or progressive visual degeneration. In particular, hallucinations are often seen by patients following enucleation. Whereas these visions can be verbally described to the physician, they can never actually be seen.

VISUAL HALLUCINATIONS WITH IMIPRAMINE
American Journal of Psychiatry, 1965The occasional occurrence of imipramine-induced visual hallucinations resembling those produced by hallucinogenic agents is documented. The phenomenon is dosage dependent and easily managed by reduction of dosage level when recognized. Delirious confusion is not a necessary part of this syndrome.
