Locality as a visualization tool
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1996Summary: This brief contribution introduces a method of quantifying the locality in a given reference sequence and visually representing it as a three-dimensional surface. We explore some of the properties of this formulation of locality and show the correlation between graphical features and specific reference patterns.

Circumscribed hemispheric lesions in the right hemisphere have been shown to impair auditory spatial functions. Due to a strong crossmodal links that exist between vision and audition, in the present study, we have hypothesized that multisensory integration can play a specific role in recovery from spatial representational deficits.

Binaural Audio-Visual Localization
Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2021Localizing sound sources in a visual scene has many important applications and quite a few traditional or learning-based methods have been proposed for this task. Humans have the ability to roughly localize sound sources within or beyond the range of the vision using their binaural system.

Multi-model visual localization
2013 21st Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2013We are describing a visual localization system which is economical, highly accurate, can be applied both indoors and outdoors. In the offline stage, 3D reconstruction and location segmentation is achieved through the use of structure-from-motion techniques on a set of input images. The extracted 3D models constitute our database.
