Human blood hemolysis experiments with microchannels (I, II, III) were compared with simulations (A, B) by applying stress‐based and strain‐based hemolysis models. The stress‐based model showed a low applicability for short‐term stress peaks, while the strain‐based model, which considers the time‐dependent deformation of RBCs, shows more promising ...

Simultaneous Ex Situ Normothermic Perfusion of Paired Kidneys in Pigs
This pig model of simultaneous perfusion of paired kidneys in normothermia suggests that intra‐individual variation is relatively low, enabling one kidney to be employed as a reliable comparator of the other kidney for assessing treatments before kidney transplantation.

The Role of Scalp EEG Recordings During Cortical Visual Prosthesis Testing
This article describes the role of recording scalp EEG for projects that are developing cortical visual prosthesis systems. It concludes that EEG is not required during basic threshold and spatial mapping studies, but should be considered when higher levels of stimulation and video‐camera stimulation are employed.
