Linking quantal absorption rate to the visual response

Biological Cybernetics, 1981
A photochemical system is proposed that offers a possible link between the rate of quantal absorption and the visual response. In the proposed system the time courses of the concentrations of certain photoproducts turn out to be equal to the quantal absorption rate passed through various linear filters.
