AI for Inclusive Winter Mobility: Multimodal Integration for Detecting Barriers Affecting People with Disabilities [PDF]
Winter accessibility poses critical challenges in cold-climate cities such as Québec City, where snow and ice accumulation restrict the mobility of people with disabilities. This study presents an AI-driven multimodal framework designed to detect,

Internal Structure, Kinematics, and Prehistory of Frozen Debris Lobe‐A (FDL‐A), Brooks Range, Alaska
ABSTRACT Frozen Debris Lobe‐A (FDL‐A)—one of hundreds of FDLs in the Brooks Range of northern Alaska—is a slow‐moving landslide in permafrost that has been the subject of research since 2008 due to its close proximity to the Dalton Highway. Here, we synthesize more than a decade's worth of climate and surface measurements of monitored FDLs, and the ...

Visual Snow Syndrome: Therapeutic Implications
Visual snow and its syndrome represent a relatively new and enigmatic neurological condition affecting the human sensory, motor, and perceptual systems. In this narrative review, first an overview of the condition and its basic characteristics and demographics are presented.

Resting - State EEG Indicates Unstable Microstates in Visual Snow Syndrome [PDF]
Background: EEG microstates account for a significant amount of the variance in resting-state EEG activity and are considered the basic building blocks of human neurological processes.

ABSTRACT The McMurdo Dry Valleys, the largest ice‐free region in Antarctica, are home to a cold‐desert hydrologic system of glaciers, snowbanks, streams, and lakes. Freshwater is also stored as dead glacial ice, which is poorly constrained in terms of ion concentrations and interactions with both in situ and overlying sediments.

A Case of Unilateral Presentation of Visual Snow Syndrome
Visual snow syndrome is an uncommon disease that is characterized by persistent positive phenomena that look like pixelated static similar to static on a television screen. Diagnostic criteria proposed by Schankin et al.

ABSTRACT Pingos are large mounds with cores formed of intrusive ice that form in periglacial landscapes. These ice structures can form in regions of discontinuous permafrost, commonly as hydraulic or open‐system pingos, or in locations of continuous permafrost, commonly as hydrostatic or closed‐system pingos.

ABSTRACT Understanding fine‐scale surface changes is crucial for quantifying ecosystem dynamics and detecting landscape changes. Palsas, comparably small peatland elevations with an ice‐rich permafrost core, undergo natural cycles of growth and degradation. They can also serve as indicators of climate change in subarctic regions. Because they typically
