Robust Visual Correlation Tracking

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2015
Recent years have seen greater interests in the tracking-by-detection methods in the visual object tracking, because of their excellent tracking performance. But most existing methods fix the scale which makes the trackers unreliable to handle large scale variations in complex scenes. In this paper, we decompose the tracking into target translation and

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Neural speech tracking in a virtual acoustic environment: audio-visual benefit for unscripted continuous speech

open access: yesFrontiers in Human Neuroscience
The audio-visual benefit in speech perception—where congruent visual input enhances auditory processing—is well-documented across age groups, particularly in challenging listening conditions and among individuals with varying hearing abilities.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Mamba meets tracker: exploiting token aggregation and diffusion for robust unmanned aerial vehicles tracking

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems
The Transformer-based tracking approach achieves excellent results in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) tracking tasks. However, the existing tracking framework usually deals with this problem by visual grounding and visual tracking separately.

Evaluation of kinesthetic-tactual displays using a critical tracking task [PDF]

open access: yes
The study sought to investigate the feasibility of applying the critical tracking task paradigm to the evaluation of kinesthetic-tactual displays. Four subjects attempted to control a first-order unstable system with a continuously decreasing time ...

Visual vehicle tracking algorithm

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2002
A modified extended Kalman filter (EKF) is proposed for visual vehicle tracking by adding a new objective function to reduce the sensitivity of the filter to model uncertainty. Experimental results show that the performance of this approach is much better than the traditional EKF and its recent variant.

Innovating Aircraft Repair Processes: The Role of Digitalization in Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This research explores how digitalization—by storing detailed non‐destructive testing data in structured DICONDE databases and creating a standard data model of the component—innovates aviation maintenance and repair processes. Coupled with a developed state‐based simulation model, it enables data‐driven, sustainable repair strategies that reduce waste,
