Extraction of Inherent Amplitude Mode from a Light Beam

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Mode extraction is the inverse process of the double‐beam superposition principle in classical optics. While polarization mode extraction has been successfully demonstrated using an m‐order vector vortex beam, this article demonstrates the amplitude mode extraction of a light beam.

Thermo‐Optical Analysis of Surface‐ and Volume‐Additivated Polymer Powders for Near‐Infrared Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Precipitated PA11 powders for laser powder bed fusion are additivated with small amounts of carbon black nanoparticles on and in the particles. The position of the nanoparticles has a strong impact on dispersion, crystallization, and thermal oxidation.

Tuning Surface Phonon Polaritons in One‐Dimensional Complementary Nanostructures via Curvature and Dielectric

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Curvature and dielectric is introduced to tune properties of surface phonon polaritons (SPhPs) in complementary nanostructures: nanowire (NW) and nanohole (NH). It is found that NH complements the frequency band range of SPhP of NW. Frequency‐band subinterval of the SPhP in NHs and NWs can be tuned by dielectric.

Harnessing Ultrafast Optical Pulses for 3D Microfabrication by Selective Tweezing and Immobilization of Colloidal Particles in an Integrated System

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2025.
Microfabrication using nano‐ to micron‐sized blocks has transformative potential for next‐gen electronics, optoelectronics, and materials. Traditional methods are limited by scalability and precision. STIC, a single‐laser system for precise colloid manipulation and immobilization using femtosecond lasers, is introduced that enables efficient 3D ...
