A Difficult‐to‐Manage Case of Primary Idiopathic Erythromelalgia—Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Erythromelalgia is a rare condition with symptoms of erythema, warmth, and painful extremities exacerbated by warmth and relieved by cooling. Pain management is often challenging. The sodium channel blocker, lacosamide, was most effective in this patient.

Integrative Genetic Perspectives: Decoding the Relationship Between Micronutrients, Inflammatory Cytokines, and Inflammatory Skin Diseases

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
This Mendelian randomization study investigated causal relationships between 15 micronutrients, 91 inflammatory proteins, and 13 inflammatory skin diseases. Genetically predicted higher Vitamin B6 levels showed a significant causal association with increased risk of hidradenitis suppurativa (FDR < 0.05).

From Immunization to Autoimmunity: A Deep Dive Into Post‐COVID‐19 Vaccine Reactions—A Narrative Review

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Coronavirus disease‐2019 (COVID‐19) emerged in 2019 from Wuhan, China, leading to the accelerated development of vaccines, which have proven instrumental in controlling the spread of the virus. While vaccination ceased the increasing trend of the viral infection, rare adverse autoimmune events emerged as important ...

Effects of Immunoadsorption on Markers of Iron Metabolism: A Case Series

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Apheresis, Volume 41, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Immunoadsorption selectively eliminates circulating antibodies in antibody‐mediated diseases. Iron deficiency is the most common cause of anemia; however, the potential role of immunoadsorption in contributing to iron depletion remains insufficiently established.

HPLC‐Orbitrap‐MS for the Determination of B‐Vitamins in Fruit Juices and Food Supplements

open access: yesJournal of Mass Spectrometry, Volume 61, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Accurate assay of vitamins in foods is a considerable analytical challenge due to the chemical complexity of matrices and molecular structures. Orbitrap MS technology coupled with liquid chromatography through electrospray ionization source (HPLC‐ESI‐MS) was applied for the simultaneous determination of seven B‐vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin ...

Preconception One‐Carbon Metabolism Nutrient Levels in Preparing for Pregnancy Couples and Spontaneous Pregnancy Loss: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2026.
One‐carbon metabolism (OCM) nutrients play a critical role in fetal development and are implicated in the etiology of spontaneous pregnancy loss (SPL). In our large cohort study, we report for the first time that paternal red blood cell folate levels ≥ 400 ng/mL—consistent with the World Health Organization's recommendation for neural tube defect ...
