Enhancing Diabetes Management With CRIBC: A Novel NER Model for Constructing A Comprehensive Chinese Medical Knowledge Graph

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2025.
This study proposes CRIBC, an advanced Named Entity Recognition (NER) model tailored for Chinese medical text processing. By integrating Chinese‐RoBERTa‐WWM‐EXT with BiLSTM‐CRF and IDCNN, CRIBC enables more accurate entity extraction and knowledge representation.

Unified Neural Lexical Analysis Via Two‐Stage Span Tagging

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, Volume 10, Issue 4, Page 1254-1267, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Lexical analysis is a fundamental task in natural language processing, which involves several subtasks, such as word segmentation (WS), part‐of‐speech (POS) tagging, and named entity recognition (NER). Recent works have shown that taking advantage of relatedness between these subtasks can be beneficial.

Review and Analysis of Digital Signal Processing Algorithms for Coherent Optical Satellite Links

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, Volume 43, Issue 3, Page 229-250, May/June 2025.
ABSTRACT Coherent optical satellite links enable high‐throughput communication and high accuracy ranging to and between satellites. Due to the ever‐increasing demand for throughput, wavelength division multiplexing of polarization multiplexed optical signals is being considered as a solution to provide high‐speed optical satellite links.

Joint Nonlinear Trellis-Coded Precoding and Noise-Weighted Viterbi Decoding for Robust High-Speed MISO Underwater Visible Light Communication

open access: yesPhotonics
In this paper, we propose a robust multi-input single-output (MISO) underwater visible light communication (UVLC) system. By integrating NLTCP and NW-Viterbi decoding, the system effectively alleviates nonlinear distortions and stochastic power ...

Improved order selection method for hidden Markov models: A case study with movement data

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, Page 1215-1227, June 2025.
Abstract Hidden Markov models (HMMs) are a versatile statistical framework commonly used in ecology to characterize behavioural patterns from animal movement data. In HMMs, the observed data depend on a finite number of underlying hidden states, generally interpreted as the animal's unobserved behaviour. The number of states is a crucial hyperparameter,

Prefrontal Internal Event‐Driven Analysis of Dynamical Electroencephalographic Biomarkers in Depression During Emotional Auditory Task

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 4, April 2025.
We first proposed a novel framework for prefrontal internal event‐driven EEG data analysis, which permits event‐related analysis for experimental paradigms with low cognitive load and absence of external task events, and reveals internal event‐related neural oscillatory power specific to depressed emotional processes as well as abnormal low‐frequency ...
