Background Epiretinal membranes (ERM) represent one of the most common findings in retinal examination. Structural changes of the retinal layers in patients with ERM can be visualized and classified using OCT.

Abstract Background Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is one of the most common form of inherited retinal dystrophies. Identification of disease‐causing mutations is a prerequisite for applying targeted therapeutic approaches. The present study aimed to identify disease‐associated mutations in a large Serbian family, in which two brothers have suffered from RP

Abstract Purpose Evaluation of phenotype and treatment outcome of retinal haemangioblastomas (RH) in von Hippel–Lindau (VHL) disease and correlation of these features with the genotype of VHL germline mutation carriers. Methods Retrospective analysis of a longitudinal cohort of 21 VHL germline mutation carriers and RH.

Postvitrectomy macular hole undergoing delayed closure after 28 months
Case report of a 70-year-old male who developed full thickness macular hole (MH) following vitrectomy for vitreomacular traction syndrome. The further intervention was deferred due to the unwillingness of the patient for the second surgery.

Pneumatic vitreolysis in the treatment of vitreomacular traction syndrome [PDF]
Introduction: The vitreomacular traction (VMT) syndrome is characterized by an incomplete posterior vitreous detachment with the persistently adherent vitreous exerting tractional pull on the macula and resulting in morphologic and functional changes.Aim:

[Vitreomacular Traction Syndrome (VMTS)].
In vitreomacular traction syndrome (VMTS) an anomalous posterior vitreous detachment (APVD) with persistant symptomatic vitreoretinal adhesion is seen. The adhesion leads to a thickened macula, to macular oedema and a reduction of BCVA.

Vitreomacular Traction Syndrome (VMTS)
Vitreomacular traction (VMT) syndrome is characterized by an abnormal vitreous adherence to the macula due to incomplete posterior vitreous detachment (PVD). The resulting traction produces morphological changes of the macula.

Vitreomacular Traction Syndrome
Posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) is commonly seen in the aging eye [1]. Although the majority of PVDs occur without complication, a small proportion can be associated with excessive traction on the macula, resulting in retinal anatomic changes. These eyes are characterized as having vitreomacular traction (VMT).
